"A B&B masterpiece."

I don't want to be ridiculously repetitive here, because the past posts have said it all, but c'mon, this place is fantastic! It's no wonder people come from all over the country to this cozy little 5-bedroom home. My wife and I spent 3 nights here in August, 2011 for a long weekend away from a sweltering Manhattan, and it was perfect. Some time at Cooper's Beach --the best beach in America -- some shopping, some wine tasting, and some great dinners out all highlighted wonderful summer days in the Hamptons that were magically ignited by Kim's amazing breakfasts, which are works of art.

To say the owners, Kim and Chris, are very hospitable would be an understatement. They are no less than the nicest people in the world. And they work very hard to see that you are comfortable and have a great stay, trust me. But all of the hard work aside, I think that they just truly enjoy people. I am certain that you can't fake your way to a great B&B, you have to have a really good heart, and Kim and Chris have that in abundance.

But you know, while all of the previous accolade-ridden posts have trumpeted the obvious about this gem of a place, what really struck my wife and me were the little things that you'd never think of. Like the sherry waiting in our room after a long day out, or the extra toiletries in the hallway chest that one might have forgotten at home, or Chris escorting you with an umbrella to your rain-soaked car --- I could go on -- but one of the things, often overlooked, that I was wild for was the bed! It was so comfortable that I would get up in the morning and look longingly at tthe antique four-poster, wishing the day would speed by just so that I could jump back into it! Sure, that sounds weird, but not to anyone who's ever stayed there!

After our visit to A Butler's Manor, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when we return to the Hamptons.
